dONOR Conduct Policy

University Hospitals Kingston Foundation (UHKF) values its donors and recognizes that it has various responsibilities to them – such as to thank them for their support, use their donations for the purpose(s) for which the donation(s) was/were given, demonstrate the impact of the donation(s) made and to not put undue pressure on them to make further gifts. These responsibilities are set out in UHKF’s codes of practice and systems of ethics. In addition to UHKF’s responsibilities to donors, UHKF and its directors, staff, and volunteers, have an expectation that donors also have concurrent responsibilities to them.

Donor Recognition Policy

This policy ensures those who support KHSC and Providence Care through UHKF receive appropriate, equitable and consistent recognition. This includes prompt acknowledgement of gifts, the reporting of the impact of gifts and, where appropriate, the issuance of receipts for income tax purposes.

Complaints Policy

University Hospitals Kingston Foundation (UHKF) adheres to the highest standards of personal and professional conduct. There may however, from time to time be concerns or complaints about or related to the Foundation or its related healthcare organizations. The right to express concerns and complaints is an inherent right of stakeholders and the Foundation is committed to a process which is timely, fair and respectful.
