Education is of paramount importance to Linda Ann Daly and Walter Fenlon. Their philanthropy is well documented, spanning multiple decades, and has led to the creation of the Linda Ann Daly and Walter Fenlon Urology Cancer Education Fund at Kingston Health Sciences Centre (KHSC).

With a gift of $100,000 through the Honour Your Caregiver (HYC) program, Dr. Michael Brundage, Radiation Oncologist, KHSC and Dr. Robert Siemens, Urologist, KHSC, were both recognized. Throughout both of their cancer care journey's, Linda Ann and Walter spoke highly of the exceptional care that Dr. Brundage and Dr. Siemens gave.

These funds will be used to update and organize educational materials with a goal of improving access and use of information for patients and families.
"To have some basket of information that is understandable and adaptable to various people, including staff and the patient, I think it can only benefit everybody", says Linda Ana.
"As a physician, you have to find ways that are customizable, that are adoptable so that patients can get the information that they need in a way that they can use it to inform their own decisions in their own care", adds Dr. Brundage, Radiation Oncologist, KHSC.
The hope for Linda Ann and Walter is for these funds to support staff, patients and families during one of the most stressful times of their lives. Visit uhkf.ca/HYC to create a lasting impact on health care in our region while honouring the great care provided by front line workers.
