Don Hay is a donor to KGH because of the way they treated his father when he had a stroke.
Caring, compassion and expertise are prevalent among the staff at Kingston General Hospital. My father was taken to KGH by ambulance with a stroke. His recovery was improved by the speedy help that was provided. Any time I visited the hospital, I noticed how exceptionally well the nursing staff were able to handle any situations that arose and treated him with the respect and dignity that he needed. I noticed that no matter what the situation and who the person was, they were all treated the same way. It takes a lot of skill and talent to be able to ensure that all the medical services are applied promptly when required and that the dignity of the patient is not neglected. This is extremely hard and important due to the fact that every person is different and can react differently to a stroke. Congratulations to the doctors and nursing staff for their diligence and calming influence for the patients.
