Connie, her children and grandchild have been patients of KGH many times. She is donating to KGH to because of all of the things the hospital has given her family.

We give to KGH to give back for all we have received from the hospital. Myself, our son, daughter and granddaughter all have a disease called Von Hippel-Lindau Disease or VHL. Our son has had two brain tumors, our daughter one brain tumor. I have had my pancreas removed, a tumor in my neck removed and many surgeries over the past years, starting when I was ten years old. I have cysts in my liver, spine and brain that are monitored annually. We have been given wonderful care in the hospital most of the time. We have had a few difficult situations, but for the most part we are managing well. Our happy occasions at KGH have been the birth of our son and our granddaughter. We are very thankful to have the wonderful surgeons, doctors and nurses who give so much to their patients. We are fortunate to have such good hospitals so close to our home. Thank you for what you have given to our family.
