Collectively, Hotel Dieu Hospital, Kingston General Hospital and the Cancer Centre, and Providence Care are Kingston's university hospitals, providing highly specialized care to more than 500,000 people throughout our region, leading pioneering research and training the health care professionals of tomorrow. What our hospitals do:

• Hotel Dieu Hospital iis the ambulatory care (outpatient) centre, recording more than 370,000 specialized clinic visits, day surgeries and other procedures each year.

• Kingston General Hospital serves the needs of our most acutely ill patients – those who need highly-specialized emergency, surgical or medical care, including those with cancer.

• Providence Care serves patients with complex, rehabilitation, geriatric and mental healthcare needs at three sites – Mental Health Services, Providence Manor and St. Mary’s of the Lake Hospital.
