September 9,2010/-KINGSTON, ON – Kingston’s hospitals recently celebrated the announcement of a $20,000 gift from Daltco Electric to the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation, the fundraising arm for Hotel Dieu Hospital, Kingston General Hospital (KGH), and Providence Care.

Peter Dalton, President of Daltco Electric & Supply (1979) Ltd., announced the gift."  I strongly believe in supporting our hospitals and I’m excited to be a part of Together We Can. As someone born and raised in Kingston, and now raising my family here, I have seen how important the redevelopment of our hospitals is to this generation and the next.”

Mr. Dalton is a Governor of Kingston General Hospital and a Together We Can campaign team volunteer. He is a business and community leader who participates in Generation Next events for younger philanthropists.

Eleanor Rivoire, Vice President, Clinical Administration & Professional Practice & Chief Nursing Executive at Kingston General Hospital, expressed thanks on behalf of KGH. “Your generosity and commitment to KGH is very much appreciated. It is wonderful to see such continuing support as we move forward with completing the dedevelopment of the hospital.”

Denise Cumming, Executive Director of University Hospitals Kingston Foundation, said “We are very grateful for your support. Thanks to donors like Daltco Electric & Supply, Together We Can is gaining momentum and we are nearing our campaign goal.”
