Giant Tiger Provides Gift of $200,000 to New Pediatric Critical Care Unit at KGH

May 27,2010/- The University Hospitals Kingston Foundation announced today the new pediatric critical care unit at Kingston General Hospital has received a $200,000 gift from Giant Tiger Stores Limited. The funds will be used to purchase medical equipment for the unit and to furnish rooms.

The donation was presented by president and chief operating officer of Giant Tiger Stores Limited Mr. Andy Gross, at a special celebration attended by pediatric critical care unit staff, hospital and foundation representatives. Bill Richard, Board Chair, Kingston General Hospital, was on hand to announce that a patient room in the new facility will be named for Giant Tiger Stores Limited in recognition of the gift.
