Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Garrison Kingston Pledges $200,000 to Providence Care Redevelopment

July 28,2010/-KINGSTON, ON An announcement of a $200,000 pledge from CFB Kingston Garrison to the Together We Can campaign was held at St. Mary’s of the Lake hospital today. The gift will be directed to the construction of new hospital facilities for Providence Care Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation programs. 

$100,000 Gift from Peter and Frances Splinter to Support Providence Care

July 26,2010/-KINGSTON, ON  – Kingston’s hospitals celebrated the announcement today of a $100,000 pledge from Peter and Frances Splinter to the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation (UHKF), the fundraising arm for Hotel Dieu Hospital, Kingston General Hospital, and Providence Care.

University Hospitals Kingston Foundation Celebrates Gift from Songs from the Heart

July 21,2010/-KINGSTON, ON – Kingston’s hospitals celebrated today with the organizers and sponsors of the Songs from the Heart fundraiser.  In February a benefit concert was held at the Grand Theatre to raise awareness and funds for cardiac care.

The event raised $9,000.00 for the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation with funds being directed to the cardiac care program programs at Hotel Dieu Hospital (HDH) and Kingston General Hospital (KGH).

Ian Wilson Award for Volunteerism in Fundraising

July 8,2010/-KINGSTON, ON – At a recent community celebration, the Board of Directors of the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation (UHKF) announced the establishment of the Ian Wilson Award for Volunteerism in Fundraising.

This award will be granted annually by University Hospitals Kingston Foundation on behalf of all three of Kingston’s hospital foundations to individuals who have demonstrated outstanding volunteer efforts in the solicitation of donations benefitting the Kingston hospitals.
