Why you should give to the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation
Our hospitals serve your community
We represent three hospitals that together are a single, highly-integrated health care system that is accessible, professional, and, above all, compassionate. We are the community hospitals for Kingston, but we also provide direct health services to nine regional hospitals and many community locations across the region. This includes Perth, Picton, Napanee, Smith’s Falls and Trenton. Our hospitals serve more than 500,000 people – they reach into almost every community, every neighbourhood, every street and a majority of homes across Southeastern Ontario. When you make a donation to our Foundation you’re helping your family, friends, and neighbours.

Our hospitals are making a difference
Through your donation patients and their families will receive better care and a better care experience, with less stress and more comfort, compassion, dignity and support. The community will have a stronger health care system that will help support its economic, social and cultural activities. Healthier people means a healthier community. Health care professionals will benefit from new facilities that will allow them to provide 21st century tools to help their patients. The community will have an advanced health care system to help economic development, attract new residents, manage social welfare costs and more.

Our hospitals are creating a stronger health care future for Ontario
Our hospitals have some of the best people, with the best skills and the best ideas in all Ontario working for us, and for you. Our hospitals are the clinical classrooms for Queen’s University’s Faculty of Health Sciences, St. Lawrence College and other specialized institutions, training more than 2,000 doctors, nurses, therapists, technicians and other health care professionals each year. More importantly, our hospitals are also their clinical laboratories for a host of important research including cancer treatment, spinal cord injury and gastrointestinal diseases. When you donate to our hospitals, you’re investing in education and research that will make a stronger health care future for Ontario.
