Thank You to Our Volunteers!

A big thank you to the dedicated volunteers who gave their time so generously over the past year. Whether it was helping out at the Black Tie or a golf tournament or sitting on our board, we wouldn't have had such a successful year without you.

We are looking for some new faces to meet our continuing needs. People are needed to represent UHKF at upcoming events, such as the Kids for Kids hockey tournament, March 27th - 29th as well as upcoming golf tournaments during the spring and summer.

There are a range of volunteer activities available such as: greeting people at the door, coat check, serving food, decorating, selling raffle and admission tickets, setting up and taking down equipment and filling gift bags at Kids for Kids. Volunteers are also needed this summer for various golf tournaments.

Money raised from the Kids for Kids hockey tournament will be directed to the neo-natal intensive care unit and pediatric oncology. Funds raised from the Garden Expo will go to where the need is greatest in our hospitals.

Who are Canada's top volunteers?

The top 25% of volunteers were widely distributed throughout the population. However, those who attend religious services on a weekly basis, those who have university degrees and those with school-aged children in the household were much more likely than others to be top volunteers.
